Battery Backup for Fiber phone connection

Your new Fiber Internet service includes a phone line that operates differently than a traditional landline. Without a battery backup, your Sonic phone service will disconnect if you lose power. You can avoid losing phone service during a power outage by purchasing a backup power supply, which provides a number of hours of power during an outage.

You can purchase a backup battery from Sonic, which includes a one year warranty and 8 hours of backup power, for $99 plus tax. You can also request to purchase a battery backup from your installer during your installation.

Alternatively, you can purchase your backup battery through a vendor like Amazon or Newegg. Find more information, including specific battery backup specifications here.
